Small history of A Ribeira Sacra
"Riboyra Sacrata" is an ancient term which appears by the first time at the Montederramo Monastery Foundation Minutes and make reference to the plentiful presence or monasteries and hermitages which from the V century started to populate the valleys of the rivers Miño and Sil, at the territory of the nowadays provinces of Lugo and Ourense.
